Adapalene is a medicine similar to vitamin A. It helps the skin renew itself.
Adapalene topical (for use on the skin) is used to treat severe acne in people who are at least 12 years old.
It may decrease the number and severity of acne pimples and promote quick healing of pimples that do develop. Adapalene belongs to a class of medications called retinoids. It works by affecting the growth of cells and decreasing swelling and inflammation.
Indications Of Differin:
• Acne on the face, chest, or back and where the skin has lots of blackheads, spots, and pimples.
How to use:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
Adapalene is applied at night before going to bed.
Thoroughly wash the areas to be treated with water. Make sure the skin is clean and dry before using this medicine.
Put a thin film of the cream with your fingertips onto the affected areas and rub it gently.
Points of interest:
• This medicine is for external use only.
• Do not forget to wash your hands afterward.
• Retinoids or drugs with a similar mode of action should not be used concurrently with adapalene.

• Dry skin.
• Irritation of the skin.
• Burning sensation of the skin.
• Redness of the skin (erythema).
Cautions:
• Pregnant or planning for it.
• Allergic to adapalene or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• Do not use this medicine on areas with cuts or scrapes or on sunburnt skin or eczema.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, or angles of the nose, and avoid other very sensitive areas of your body.
• Avoid exposure to strong sunlight and artificial UV light.
Interactions:
There are no known interactions with other medications.
