Miconazole
Anti imidazole derivative anti-fungal agent mainly for dermatological and topical use (oral) , it acts by interfering with the permeability of the fungal cell membrane.
Indications:
• Oral candidiasis.
Points of interest:
Oral Candidiasis:
• It’s better to use the gel after a meal and leave it in the mouth as long as possible before swallowing.
• Continue treatment for few days after the symptoms have gone.
How to use:
• Apply the gel to the affected area 3-4 times everyday after meals and before swallowing.

Side effects:
•unusual taste.
• Dry mouth.
Cautions:
• Oral use is contraindicated in patients less than 6 months.
