Pimecrolimus cream helps reduce inflammatory skin reactions. It is prescribed by doctors who are skin specialists. It is for short-term use.
Pimecrolimus cream is prescribed for people with mild-to-moderate eczema, usually as an alternative to other treatments such as steroid creams or ointments. It is applied to the skin (topically) to reduce symptoms such as inflammation, redness, and itching.
Indications:
Treatment of patients aged 2 years and over with mild or moderate atopic dermatitis( eczema).
Points of interest:
• should not use sun lamps, or tanning beds, or get treatment with ultraviolet light therapy during treatment with ELIDEL Cream 1%.
• Do not cover the skin being treated with bandages, dressings or wraps.

How to use:
Apply a thin layer of Elidel to the affected skin twice daily and rub in gently and completely.
ELIDEL Cream, 1% is for adults and children.
children age 2 years and older who do not have a weakened immune system.
