Tobrex 3% 3.5 mg - Eye Ointment
Tobrex is used to treat bacterial infections of the external part of the eye.
Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that kills susceptible bacteria by blocking bacterial protein synthesis.
Death of susceptible bacteria occurs because of the lack of functional proteins.
Away put contact lenses back into your eye 15 minutes after you have used Tobrex.

Indications:
• Against gram-negative enteric bacteria
• local treatment of inflammation of eyes and around it area
How to use:
Adult: Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch.
Place a 1/2 inch (1.3 centimeters) strip of ointment into the pouch by squeezing the tube gently.
Close the eye and roll the eyeball in all directions to spread the medication.
Try not to blink and do not rub the eye.
Side effects:
• Tearing
• Eye redness
• Eye discomfort
• Eyelid itching
• Swelling
Cautions:
• Do not use this medicine if you have allergy tobramycin or other aminoglycoside antibiotics
• Do not use Tobrex in children under 12 months of age
• Do not put Tobrex in your eye(s) while you are wearing contact lenses.
