Dutasteride

Avodart 0.5mg capsules contain Dutasteride, which helps in the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men.

Dutasteride belongs to a class of drugs called 5- Alpha- Reductase Inhibitors, which lowers the production of dihydrotestosterone (hormone) to help shrink the prostate and relieve the symptoms this will reduce the risk of acute urinary retention and the need for surgery.
