Dried aluminum hydroxide + Magnesium hydroxide + Simethicone

• Moxal Plus is a balanced mixture of two antacids and an antiflatulent/antifoaming agent simethicone.
• The two antacids are magnesium hydroxide which is fast-acting and aluminum hydroxide which is a slow-acting antacid.
• The combination produces a fast onset of action and an increase in total buffering time.

Active ingredients:
Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide, Simethicone

Benefits:
Moxal Plus is used for:
• The relief of indigestion (dyspepsia).
• Heartburn.
• Wind (flatulence).

How to use:
• Adults: 5-10 ml taken 20 minutes to 1 hour after meals and at bedtime.
• Children: maximum 5 ml 20 minutes to 1 hour after meals and at bedtime.

Side Effects:
• Diarrhea, stomach pain or you may get a bloated feeling and cramping pain in the abdomen (stomach), being sick (vomit), having indigestion, heartburn, upset stomach, constipation, loss of appetite, dry mouth.

Contraindications:
Do not take Moxal Plus if:
• You are allergic (hypersensitive) to dried aluminum hydroxide gel, magnesium hydroxide, simethicone, or any of the other ingredients in Moxal Plus.
• You are feeling very weak and have no energy (debilitated).
• You have kidney disease/kidney failure.
• You have low levels of phosphate (called ‘hypophosphatemia’). This is shown up in blood tests.

Cautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Moxal Plus if:
- You are on a low-phosphorus diet.
- You are suffering from porphyria and are undergoing hemodialysis.

Drugs Interactions:
• Moxal Plus should not be taken at the same time as other medicines. This is because Maalox Plus can affect the way other medicines work.
• If Moxal Plus is taken within one hour of any other medicine, it can affect the uptake of that medicine into the blood.
• Some medicines may be affected by magnesium hydroxide.
