Primolut Depot intramuscular injection contains Hydroxyprogesterone which is a man-made progestin hormone.
It is used in pregnant women to help lower the risk of miscarriage or premature labor.

How to use primolut depot 250:
One amp IM or Subcutaneous once a week, starting from the 16th-20th week of pregnancy until the 37th week of pregnancy,
Or as directed by your doctor.

Side effects:
• Pain, swelling, itching, rash, or a lump where the medicine was injected.
• Nausea.
• Diarrhea.

Warnings and cautions:
• Primolut depot amp is to be administered only by or under the immediate supervision of your doctor.
• This medication is not intended to prevent preterm birth in women pregnant with more than one baby (such as twins, or triplets).
• This medication is not intended to stop active preterm labor.
• If you have diabetes, this medication may affect your blood sugar. Check your blood sugar regularly.
• You should not use primolut depot injection if you have:
Uncontrolled high blood pressure.
Unusual vaginal bleeding.
Liver disease or liver cancer.
Jaundice caused by your pregnancy.
If you have ever had a stroke or blood clot.
