Disflatyl tablets contain Simethicone.
Simethicone belongs to the class of medications called antiflatulent (anti-gas) agents.
Simethicone acts in the stomach and intestines to change the surface tension of gas bubbles, enabling their breakdown and the formation of larger bubbles. In this way it is believed that gas can be eliminated more easily by belching or passing flatus.

How to use disflatyl tablets:
Adults: The usual dose is 40 to 125 mg four times a day, after meals and at bedtime or the dose may be 150 mg three times a day, after meals. The dose should not be more than 500 mg in twenty-four hours.
